Upcoming Honda Freed, From the stables of Honda, India

The MPV market has seen a sudden surge in the demand of vehicles and several companies are also coming up with new models for this segment. Honda India is all set to join the bandwagon and is expected to launch their MPV, Honda Freed in the Indian market. This vehicle is actually a compact MPV, which has been manufactured by Japanese automotive maker, Honda for the last 4 years now and is being sold there. It was launched in Indonesia in 2009, then in Malaysia in 2010 and also in Hong Kong in 2010. The Honda Freed MPV is expected to come to the Indian market in the year, 2014. Once this MPV comes to the Indian market, it is certainly going to be one of the best selling Honda cars from the acclaimed and dependable stables of Honda India. This MPV, Honda Freed will take on other celebrated competitors like Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo as well as the recently launched Maruti Ertiga. The approximate Honda Freed Price is estimated to be around Rs. 9 lakh and is said to be packed with a lot of goodies and utility features to attract the customers. The details of the diesel engine are still under wraps, but the petrol engine is said to be a 1.5 litre water cooled SOHC, i-VTEC engine, which can displace about 1497cc's. This commanding engine is expected to generate around 118 PS at 6600 RPM along with 146 Nm of torque at 4800 RPM and is anticipated to be cleverly mated to a 5-Speed automatic gear box. This MPV will also feature a set of modish alloy wheels with a tyre size of 185/65 R 15. Other features include a multi-functional information display, which will show many vital aspects of the MPV at the touch of a button, door ajar warning notification, anti-lock braking systems with brake assist and quite a few other features as well.
