Christmas Island !! what is this Christmas island , sounds interesting and inquisitive na,, yes. Christians around the world celebrate Christmas with great enthusiasm and joy, some people go to Christmas Island to celebrate their Christmas in the lap of the nature, but don't think that's why this island is called Christmas island. the reason is something else. than what you may have expected.
Christmas Island is a territory of Australia in Indian Ocean with a population of only 1400. but with a rich natural beauty and rare living species like flaura, fauna and some birds. this island is rich in Phosphorous mines . coming to the details of people living in this Island majority of them are Chinese and christian population on the Christmas island is only 18%. but why this Island is called Christmas Island ?
Human existence started in this Island only in the late 1980's , But this Island was discovered long ago in 1643 by captain William Mynors when he sailed across the island on a Christmas day and it was included in the Dutch Navigation charts in 1666. then onwards this island is named as Christmas Island. (might not be the reason you have expected na ?? haha.. ) have a merry Christmas!!

lol...had me guessing till d very end...wt a place to live population of jus 1400 unlike r chaotic delhi.....sigh
