Ganesh chaturthi is a Festival Celebrated by Hindus in India, More famous in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. It is the birthday of Ganesha who is widely worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. Hyderabad celebrates this festival with Devotion , joy and happiness as part of this very big Temporary temples are constructed. Let us see the Festival more closely.

Big Ganesha Idols up to 70 feet are made and worshipped for 9-11 days in Andhra Pradesh. There after Idols are immersed in River or Sea to symbolise god is taking all the misfortunes of his disciples       along with him to kailash. People of Hyderabad celebrate Ganesh Pooja as a major festival 



 Khairatabad  (Hyderabad) is famous for Ganesh Pooja celebrations from last 57 years festival is celebrated and a tradition of Preparing Bulk Laddu (100-500 kgs) and offering it to the lord and at the end this laddu (sweet) is auctioned, Can you imagine how much does it cost ?

Laddus are offered from 10 kgs - 500 kgs at different Pandals and all these laddus are auctioned. They cost from Rs 10,000 to 7 lakhs. Most of the times Real estate Businessman purchase this on auction.
